This is a picture of my Dumpling Bag drying over a can of tennis balls! Made with Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride Bulky, I love the way the embroidery felts. Because of the mohair content of the yarn, the bag is a little “hairy”. That is easily solved with a haircut! Perhaps you can see where I shaved on the left and not on the right. I promise to get a better picture when the sun shines. The pattern is from the last Interweave Knits and is designed by Sharon Dreifuss of She-Knits. Beginning next week you will be able to see many of her bag designs “in person” as I have a trunk show from Brown Sheep. I love the way Sharon deals with handles & straps on her designs as well as attention to detail. As for the my Dumpling Bag, I’m going to make one in Plymouth Galway so it will be lighter – and add some beads when they arrive at the shop. Did I say beads at the shop???????????????
The buttons finally came in and Sally’s Boku Bag looks fantastic!
I love Boku from the Plymouth Yarn Company – so I have to share this email from a customer. The little bag pattern is free with yarn purchase.
Look I finished the little felt bag and just love it, I learned the cable cast with this which I will need for the jacket I am knitting. I also have to say that I just love the yarn that you helped me choose for the jacket, it is knitting up nicely and will make a great looking spring jacket.
Thank you for all your help, I look forward to my next visit.
the bag is fresh out of the washer and needs to dry, but I just had to share.
