Embellishments! I have several knitting projects “in cue” which require beads – so when I was picking out my beads I decided to start carrying a few in the shop. I’m not trying to be a bead shop (or a fabric store for that matter), but I want to have the things I like to use when knitting at my fingertips and I think you may too.
Last Tuesday was election day – and no school. Liz put together our first beading class and the girls each made several bookmarks (which could also be shawl/scarf sticks). They learned basic beading skills, made some great gifts and had fun on their day off!
We’re thinking, shawl sticks, “fancy” stitch markers, yarn themed wine glass charms … all of these are inexpensive gifts for the holiday season. I’ll get some pictures up soon to show you what is at the shop – or better yet, stop by …..
