Well the flame was extinguished and I did not finish! (OK Claire – you win). I was hoping to at least finish all the knitting, but I only finished one band ! As we used to say when I was a little girl, close only counts in horseshoes and that is not an Olympic Event! I’m not the fastest knitter (as my students know, I love to admire my work as I knit), I’m easily distracted (at least I figured out the hat pattern), a few of life’s daily activities got in the way (just 30 inches of snow) and maybe sometimes I “bite off more than I can chew”. But it was fun to see if I could finish and I think I could have if only …………. For now I’ll have to go into training .
Notes: The project was Verde from The Mirasol Collection – The Little Book of Nuna Cardigans – book 10 by Jane Ellison. Nuna is a blend of 40% wool, 40% silk & 20% bamboo

Horseshoes and hand grenades was the expression I always heard
WHEW! I was getting a little nervous, thinking I would have to wine and dine you from now until we collect Social Security! It looks great though! You’ll have it finished soon!
Hey Gail! At least you tried to get it done. Some of us didn’t even attempt a project. It’s beautiful and I can’t wait to see it when it’s done. You beat us with the power.. last night at 8:15pm just seconds before we were going to walk into the Hamptom Inn.. 73 hours!
Hi everyone – I am so glad you all have your electric on. I had my project finished by the time the torch went out. I knit the last sleeve and when I finished realized I did the cuff with size 4 and size 3 needles Rrrrrrrr but I did not tear it out like I would have
And, guess what nobody noticed
However I guess you can not say it was finished as I did not have the ends woven in or the sweater washed and ready to wear until well after the games were off the air.
I am not sure if this link will work but here is RJ in his sweater today March 8th.
